I had the daily special of Tuesdays (Torta de Tinga). Let me tell you it lived up to the promise of it being spicy but delicious. With each bite the heat is intense but fades quickly. Youll never get to the fade quickly part though, at least i couldnt. It was soo delicious i couldnt wait to take the next bite. Do not overlook this little tucked away establishment!

El Comalito has a really warm and inviting atmosphere that keeps you coming back. The space has great energy and feels authentic. The food and service were decent but have room to grow — nothing that stood out as exceptional, but satisfying enough for a casual meal. A solid neighborhood spot with good vibes overall.

El Comalito is a great spot for delicious Mexican food. I had the Birria burrito and it was excellent—full of flavor and really satisfying. One thing that stood out was how many gluten-free options they offer. My wife had the gluten-free steak tacos and loved them. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Good food at a good price. The dishes were prepared with homemade and fresh ingredients. Portions were generous. The interior is not welcoming and could use touches to create an inviting space. Perhaps, Mexican blankets hung from the ceiling to create division and “wall” between some of the tables. Based on the food quality and price, we recommend this restaurant.

Tried to enjoy this place but, experienced Consistently bad food. Have tried various dishes a few times- burritos, tacos, plantains. Always greasy, too salty. The group orders are often wrong- missing food. Example here burnt plantains. Plantains should not be fried in old oil. This wasn’t caramelized, it was tough and black. Had to throw this order out.
