El Carbon Tapatio

Hands down one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. The food is always delicious, portions are great, and the staff treats you like family. I come here all the time and have never had a bad experience. Highly recommend.

$20 bucks for “loaded pork carnitas fries” to receive a bunch of fries and 5 large chunks of fat. How disappointing. Not worth the money, won’t be back again. Photo is the only “carnitas” on my plate. 👍

We’ve been here a few times . The first few times were great, this time we drove 20 minutes both ways, just to get home and find that my quarter chicken plate was so over cooked it was not edible. It was shriveled up and so small, it was like jerky. No meat on either piece of chicken at all. We called and they said to bring it back….not driving another 40 minutes sorry. No refund offered. Super disappointed because I wanted to support this new spot and had high hopes. Not after today’s experience, we won’t be back. What a waste of $12 that they refuse to refund.

This is the best Mexican food I’ve had in Giddings so far and the customer service is just as great. My son ordered door dash, first dasher assigned and for some reason got another dasher named Jessica. Jessica picked up the order and then Jessica cancelled it on her end after she picked it up. My son called the restaurant, talked with a very polite gentleman who said yes, DD already picked it up. He redid the order for us and my son went and picked it up and said, they were really nice. We did takeout so I don’t know the atmosphere but the food and service 💯 you get a decent amount of food. 10 out of 10 recommend this place.

Worse tacos I have ever tried, orcharta drink was watery and without flavor, all overpriced. I want to give it a try even noticing that it was almost empty at lunch time. Well.... not coming back and definitely not recommended if you are looking for decent tacos.
