El Callejon

I came here on the strength of the reviews. And it’s true. They serve pan Latin, French and Italian fare with the panache of a high end eatery. All at a mid-price point. While the outside looks like the inside could be a dive (not necessarily a bad thing) this little gem was adorable inside. A long banquet and small tables… the place was cozy. Some customers stood around a tiny bar area. I had a good view of the open kitchen, where the chef enticed us with delicious aromas. The food- red snapper, ceviche, lentils, gnocchi, all excellent. The wine selection was very good. We had a bottle of a French Sauvignon blanc that complemented the fish dishes. Service was friendly and attentive. I love that the owner came by to say hello and to see what we thought. We told him we will be back. * No

This is a hidden gem in Port Chester, El Calejon is where you can experience the rich flavors of authentic Latin cuisine. The staff is friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.

If I could give it ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I would. The food was so amazing and delicious. The place is so cozy and the staff was very helpful and friendly.
