El Bajio Mexican Restaurant

Great spot for some feel-good Mexican food! The server was super friendly and gave us time to decide on our order since my friend and I were busy catching up. The atmosphere felt homey and family-like. Chips and salsa were complimentary, and tasty! I ordered the pollo chipotle and the chicken was smothered in this creamy, slightly smoky sauce. Made for some delicious tacos! Some of the prices seemed a little more expensive, but it makes sense for the quality of the meal. Highly recommend trying this place!

The mole here is incredible. Like worth driving an hour to get. Mole isn’t easy and I rarely order it because it’s usually bad. This is homemade, authentic, absolutely delicious mole. Also everything was really inexpensive (like decent margaritas for $8.50!) - this place is awesome and I can’t wait to come back.

The guys are a pair of awesome owners and really take care of their guests. They have steadily improved the restaurant since they opened it. We followed them here from when they were waiters at Molcajetes in Geneva. Great place.

The food was so delicious. It was like someone was cooking for their family and you got an invitation. It is a must.

Me and my wife ate here on 11/1/21 at 3pm for a late lunch. I got Yolandas and she got the spinach and onion enchiladas. OMG were they both delicious. My plate was clean in like 5 minutes. Pricing was fair, about 15$ per person with a drink. Would definitely recommend.
