Eggspectation - Burtonsville

The Wife and I had brunch at noon on a Thursday. This was our first time here. The location is fairly new (opened about 6 months ago per our server). We liked the high ceilings and bright interior with lots of large windows. We were seated promptly as there were plenty of open tables. Our server (Laura) was great. We asked to be moved as there was a bit of draft at our first table near the restrooms and were quickly moved to a booth. We shared the “Eggstravaganza” and Laura brought us out a second plate even before our order arrived (love that ❤️). Also, my wife ordered a peach mimosa which didn’t have any flavor of peach, Laura promptly took it back and our replacement was much better. We had an amazing brunch at Eggspectation! We ordered a savory crepe and a waffle, and both were absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. What truly made this visit unforgettable was our server, Montserrat. She is hands down the best server I have ever had. So sweet, warm, attentive, and genuinely kind — she made us feel welcomed from the moment we sat down. Her positive energy and care elevated the entire experience. Great food, wonderful atmosphere, and exceptional service. We will definitely be coming back — especially because of Montserrat!

My first time trying Eggspectation. Very cute and upscale. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner all day, with an alcohol-forward brunch culture. I ordered the chicken pasta for dinner along with a refreshing mint-cucumber smoothie. Overall, the restaurant had a clean, sleek, and trendy social atmosphere. I’d definitely come back.

My husband and I went to Eggspectation Burtonsville for brunch and overall had a good experience. The biggest downside is the wait — it seems to always be about an hour, and they don’t take reservations or offer a call-ahead system. That can be a little frustrating since there isn’t much to do nearby while you wait. Luckily, we were able to grab seats at the bar, so we didn’t end up waiting the full hour. I ordered the mimosa flight, which was definitely worth it. For food, we went with brunch classics — the chicken & waffle and the shrimp & grits. The chicken & waffle was a generous portion, though the chicken could’ve used a bit more seasoning (I’d recommend asking for Tabasco when you order). A Popular place for breakfast and brunch. Tasty food, large selections, comfortable atmosphere, decent service, friendly staff, convenient locations can always find parkings.
