Ahadu Ethiopian Cuisine

This was my first time visiting, and I wanted to give it a try because I like exploring new places. The atmosphere feels different from other Ethiopian restaurants in the DMV area, with a mostly non-Ethiopian crowd. While the portions and prices are reasonable, the flavors didn’t quite reach the level of authentic Ethiopian dishes or other restaurants I’ve tried.

A few weeks ago I ordered from here using Doordash and I just say that the food is amazing! When it arrived, it was still hot and fresh. I ordered the lamb tibs with collard greens and chickpeas. Everything was so good and flavorful with the right amount of spice! They give really good portion sizes as well for a reasonable price. I look forward to dining within the restaurant and trying more items!

We were warmly greeted and had a delicious meal. Large portion of flavorful food. Restaurant was clean and not too loud.

Idk how the people on here are claiming that this is the best Ethiopian food in the DMV. Those gotta be paid reviews. Spicy Lentils were so stiff, potatoes, carrots, and cabbage were so mushy, lamb was far from tender, and the collard greens tasted like they were canned. Not to mention, I’m writing this review as I’m breaking out in hives :(

First time trying Ethiopian food, at the recommendation of the employee working at the time, I ordered the meat & veggie sampler and thought it was fantastic. Opted for the spicy option and although hot, was not by any means unbearable. Food took around 30 minutes to come out but otherwise service and experience was fantastic.
