Eastside Bagel

First time at this location. We came in at a slow time & I understand what people mean about ordering. Get up to the counter, make eye contact & place your order. After that, find a way to get in line and pay. Wasn’t bad because it was slow, but they could benefit from having some order when ordering. I snagged an everything bagel with cream cheese & turkey. She walked the bagel to the toaster & put it together 5 mins later. Little slower pace than I’m used to for toasting a bagel. The bagel, tasted no different than one I would get from the grocery store. Flat, dense & lacked flavor. Freshness is key, if that was fresh then I would consider some quality control. I’m not trying to beat you up, but I wasn’t impressed.

As an east coast bagel snob who has spent 2 years searching for a decent BEC, I can confidently say this place is the best in Metro Detroit. I drove out from Detroit in this snow storm and it didn’t disappoint. People are nice, bagels fire, and I waited an unreasonably short amount of time for pure deliciousness. Not a huge fan of scramble on an egg sandwich but it still hit. Easy fix next time… I’ll asked for my egg fried. I will be back to this little slice of heaven. It was so good I couldn’t only get a pic of what it once was …

I live in Bloomfield and drive to Eastside Bagel at least once a week for their food. The food is fresh, the marketing is fresher and the family that runs it is absolutely freshious (like precious but fresh). This place is a hidden gem and you can tell the love that the owners pour into it. It's not a bagel unless its an Eastside bagel.

Came across this place while traveling through the city and it ended up being a great start to the morning. I walked in not realizing they were call-in only but once I explained I was from out of town and it was my first time, they were incredibly accommodating and kind about it. I ordered the Everything bagel with garden vegetable cream cheese and it was excellent fresh, flavorful and clearly made with quality ingredients. My friend ordered an everything bagel breakfast sandwich with egg and bacon and said it was sooo good. What really stood out was the customer service. Someone in line ordered a salt stick and when I asked what it was, the woman behind the counter disappeared for a second and came right back with one for me to try. Such a small gesture but it made the experience memorabl

Eastside is an East side treasure! There's a reason the line is always long--it is WORTH IT! Every single bagel flavor I've tried has been delightful. I particularly love the rosemary sea salt and salt stick. They no longer serve the roasted red pepper cream cheese (so sad,it was incredible), but the other flavors are wonderful. Their lox bagel is delicious. Although I haven't tried them myself, I have heard great things about their white chili and Mac & cheese. You can also order their delicious buffalo chicken dip ahead of time which is a smash hit for parties!
