East Peak Lodge - (Winter Only)

So actually, the two stars was for the beer I bought, not their food. Service directly from bartender was good and friendly, especially for their work load, and the beer if self was good. How good you may ask, well I'm sorry to say not $18.40 good! Yeppers you saw that right with a tip I kissed a $20 goodbye just like that! Just so I'm clear this $20 was for 1 regular tap beer! So FYI be sure to bring your gold or platinum card (with some room on it) if you're planning on buying a round or two for your friends. PS Vail also managed to ruined my favorite story from last year When at stagecoach Lodge (NV side) I happen to stumble in at the right time for happy hour 2for1 beers! Very enjoyable. Comfortable, warm, rest stop on the mountain and the food is good. Dine indoors or out. Friendly, bilingual servers. Secret: Chili Dog is not on the menu... but they'll make it for you. 👌🏽

The most pathetic $10 bowl of fries, I reckon about 50c per fry at best, told them to keep it. I know we are a captive market up here but this is a real rip off.

It was plenty warm inside if your need to warm up but we wanted to cold breeze outside and clean air. The wings were very good flavor and the fries covered with garlic were quite tasty. Even though this location doesn’t have the amazing view of Lake Tahoe we enjoyed a very relaxing lunch with No Lines or crowds.

Friendly service and great on ski facilities. Food is reasonable and prices are pretty much in line with on ski expectations! East Peak Lodge is located at the bottom of the Dipper and Comet Express chairlifts. There is a nice indoor lodge area perfect for arming up and an outdoor area where they run fresh cooked grill / BBQ. The outdoor area has lovely views back up the California side of Heavenly. Staff were helpful and friendly, they showed caring towards our little ones trying to cater for allergies etc. I also liked their stated commitment to zero environmental impact by 2030, that’s great to see!!! Definitely worth popping in if you in need of a refresh!!!
