Drifters Deli

A small deli that I highly recommend, it's off Cotter Ave near Port A Outfitters. It's not easily seen when driving down the street, just look for the turn-in to "Woody's Last Stand". The menu is limited with some specials offered occasionally. The different sandwiches I've had there were all very good. The prices are fair for the quality and fresh ingredients you get. The folks there are friendly and it's apparent they care about what they serve. There are a few tables inside and a few out on the deck. Pictured below is the Robert, a newer item, the Therese, and their updated menu. Open for lunch and close early afternoon.

Clinton of Drifters Sandwich Shop should be nominated for best sandwich in Texas. The Therese was outstanding. He hand makes the bread himself! If you’re looking for the perfect beach sub, or sub for a boat ride - Drifters Sandwiches should be the stop. Enjoy! You will not be disappointed.

Just went and picked up a sandwich, it was amazing!!! The presentation was aesthetically nice. The sandwich was really flavorful and very tasty. Also the chair I sat in outside was super comfy. Definitely the sandwich spot if you’re ever in Port Aransas.

The staff here is amazing—super friendly and welcoming! If you’re looking for delicious homemade sandwiches, whether you’re grabbing something quick on the go or dining in, this is the spot. The atmosphere is cozy and laid-back, and it’s right by the water, which makes it even better. Plus, there are other cool spots right in the area to explore, so it’s the perfect little stop!

Highly recommend, best Sammie’s we’ve had in a while. Found this gem thanks to the reviews because it’s tucked back off the street. We enjoyed the Therese and the Thomas, omg, delish. The homemade bread is excellent and the sandwich combos were great. Service was super friendly and it was nice out so we enjoyed the patio seating (plenty of indoor spots too).
