Downeast Dog House

Stopped in Lubec while roadtripping before moving out of Maine. 10/10 just what we needed today. Good food and a friendly face! The cowboy butter dog was my favorite. Thanks so much!

Great service, great food! The best food I had in Maine so far! Try their Pea n Ham soup + Downbreaker hot dog (this one has chicken sausage but pork casing). Owner Curt was friendly and also kindly helped me giving some pointers on some places to visit per my interest as I asked him a question or two.

Food is great! Owners are awesome. A unique spot in a charming town. I love the culinary variety it brings to the area. If you're traveling in or around Lubec this is a must.

Friendly service, definitely worth the stop. Follow the signs around the corner to the Dog House for great tasting hot dogs and one of the best bowls of Clam Chowder in the east.

First time trying these delicious dogs and soups! It's great to have a quick, tasty option like this in town. Next time we're going to take them to the brewery next door to enjoy them there.
