DownCity Pizza & Sandwiches Providence

Stopped in for an early dinner at this downtown restaurant while visiting Providence for the first time. No wait to get a seat. Enjoyed a draft beer and the steak and cheese pizza; both were very good. I would certainly go again if in the area.

Awesome sandwiches! We had lunch with a group and everyone’s was very good. Really put them on the spot with an order of 100 wings for a hockey team that evening. Not only did they make it happen, the wings were AMAZING! Molly up front was super helpful and the owner (Bulent) made sure the wings got done. Highly recommend!

TASTE (8/10): I actually liked it a lot. The toppings were generous, the flavor was solid, and the whole thing was satisfying. I got a 14” pizza for around $22. The only issue is the dough — it’s thin, and that’s apparently just how things are done here in the US. Not really this place’s fault, but still annoying when half the toppings slide off as you pick up a slice. A thicker crust would make life easier. PRICE (7/10): Not exactly cheap, but given the size and quality, it felt fair. ATTITUDE (8/10): Staff were chatty, friendly, and easy to talk to. No problems there. PLACE (7/10): The space is modest, can host around 20 to 25 people. Not super big, but functional. Clean enough to sit and eat without worry, though definitely not sparkling. Amazing experience- we ordered 13 pizzas 2 salads and 1 meatball parm tray at 930 on a Sunday night for a group of 50 and they handled it perfectly! Food was delicious and service was so friendly and fast. Definitely give this place your business! Great people, great food. Thank you!!
