Dover Area Community Library

My kids always love playing with the toys in the programs room. We enjoy their summer programs. The hikes are the best!

cute little library with a good selection

This review is not for the library itself. The track used to have workout stuff around it I liked them there they should put them back in. Additionally motion sensor trail lights so if people wanted to they could go for a run at night. An option of how to keep them lit would to either have a couple of solar towers to power them and the Pavillion. They could also have a switch option you flick on that stays on for 20 minutes. The grass is kept nice and so is everything else. However there could be more things added in the future like a tennis court that doubled as a basketball court.

I grew up going to this library (started out at its old location) and now my son has grown up there too. He’s now 17 and we still use the library as much as we did when he was little. Great programs, great people, and great book selection, plus the ability to order any book you want and have it delivered there, which we use often. Easy parking and little walking required for my mother, who has trouble getting around, make it even better.

Dover Area Library is too small. One of the ladies who works in this library treated my 2 year old daughter terribly. My 2 year old daughter was sitting in a chair doing nothing when the librarian came over and asked her to get off her seat and than tried to pick my daughter up without my permission. I had to report her to the head management of Dover libraries. What an awful place for children. They do not even have one computer for children. The summer reading program does not have enough activities for children. I have been to many different libraries in my life and this has been the absolute worst one I have ever seen. It is not spacious or kid friendly at all. I believe that the librarian was racial profiling also. I never want to go back there again because of her. I can't even belie
