Don Leon Tacos

We have followed this family locally owned and ran since I moved to the beach, which was well over 10 years ago. They have the best food, The staff treat you like family, Not to mention, the atmosphere is great. So glad that they returned as they used to be off Mayport Road. The family dynamic is wonderful. They always greet you when you walk in the door and the food is always spot on.

Random find near Heartland I ordered the quesadillas & quesabirrias — they were delicious! Especially the Quesabirrias!!! Everything was hot, fresh, and so tasty. I’ll definitely be back!

Overall this place is solid. I got the 3 taco plate and a single quesabirria to get a feel for the food. I must say it’s pretty good, and I loved the presentation. I think the chicken taco was the most flavorful over the steak and pork tacos. IMO It could have used some ques fresco or cotija. The Quesabirria probably was my favorite. The beef was tender and loved the cheese pull! Definitely worth a try! Check this place out.

Absolutely love the Quesabirria plates. That’s the only food I get from them all the time. There’s a little wait time about 15-20 minutes wait. Overall real great food!

May just be one of the toughest streets tacos in the world this beef steak is entirely too tough to bite through it’s not nasty but goodness gracious it’s so tough then Usually, when you get corn tortilla tacos, they doubled the tortillas. These are single, very thin, easily breakable tortillas. It’s not nasty at all but it’s so tough to bite through I couldn’t finish chewing it
