They are open to the general public to buy shrimp by the pound. Don’t be shy! Just walk right up to the big open door and tell them how many pounds you want, even if it’s just 1 pound. The shrimp doesn’t get any fresher. Prices today, 5/20/23 were $4/lb for the jumbo fresh Gulf shrimp, head on. The same shrimp is priced $10.97/lb at HEB.
