Dolce & Ciabatta Bakery

We just went to pick up some goodies for my birthday today. We got home and my daughter couldn't wait to try everything. We each took a bite from the slice of raspberry cheesecake. Not bad, but my daughter grabbed the raspberry off of the slice to eat it and it was molded! 👀 My sibling loves D&C and frequents the cafe regularly, so I was very surprised. The staff were very friendly and the prices were affordable so I really wanted to love it. We also bought lemon pound cake and a chocolate cream puff. Highly recommend the cream puff!! Hopefully this is just a one-off bad batch of raspberries…😳

While I generally love your chocolate croissants and other pastries, I have to say this visit today was a disappointment. The chocolate croissants were huge and only had chocolate on one side. Perhaps make the croissants smaller so that the chocolate is evenly distributed. The Kouign-amann was very overcooked and hard - I had to actually heat it up the microwave in order to cut it. And the eclairs did not have the traditional pastry cream filling but some type of thick whipped cream. The fruit tart was good, but the soggy leaves were left on the strawberries - that was a surprise. As I said before - I have enjoyed your pastries before, but these were all a disappointment especially as it was my birthday treat.

We’ve been a number of times and I just realized I hadn’t left a review. I was turned on to the bakery with a recommendation about their kouign amann. Apparently it’s popular, so you either need to go early or luck out. The cream puffs and cookies are great, but I finally got a kouign amann. It’s a lovely pastry. The sugar/thin layer of caramel on the top is substantial without being too thick. Just enough to hold and break apart. The laminated dough is nice as well. Not overly buttery, but still light and fluffy.

Dolce and Ciabatta provided the perfect cupcakes to help my daughter and her friends celebrate Taylor Swift's album release. The team at D&C took my vague request of "orange and green cupcakes" and turned them into a work of art. The process was easy and the cupcakes were as delicious as they were beautiful.

Small interior so don't expect to eat here, but they had really quick service even when I went on a busy day. The pastries they have are absolutely beautiful. The coffee cake muffin was good, I'd recommend. Dont get the Nutella creme volcano. It's just bread with a sweet outer, I had maybe a teaspoon of Nutella on top and that was it... Employees were so nice and friendly.
