Stone Gables Bed & Breakfast

I rented out Stone Gables B&B for my 30th Birthday party in July 2025 and we had the best time! Travis and Frances were amazing - helping me set up before the party, clean up the day after, preparing the most amazing breakfast (the french toast was to die for), and even digging out extra platters and such from the basement to match the theme of the party. Abby, the in-house caterer, prepared afternoon-tea style hors d'oeuvres, which were delicious and exactly as requested. The rooms were luxurious, and there were a ton of beautiful indoor & outdoor spaces to hang out. Storybook elegance at its finest and not too far from NOVA/DC.

Travis was a fantastic host. This B&B has every detail thoughtfully considered and provides everything you could possibly need—from large umbrellas to access to a cozy fire pit. We stayed here while biking the GAP/C&O Trail and it was the perfect place to relax and recharge before continuing our journey. Our made to order breakfast was out of this world.

Stone Gables is by far the nicest B&B we have experienced! This was for a belated 25th anniversary trip for us. Travis was very accommodating and is thoroughly knowledgeable about the surrounding towns and go-to spots to further accent our stay. We stayed in the Bear's Den and we could not have asked for a cleaner and more cozy room. The breakfast was perfectly cooked and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. You can sense and feel that these folks desire to serve others and they do it so well. We will be back to experience the grounds when the weather is a touch better. Like others have mentioned, this is one of the nicest bed and breakfast we have stayed at. It is so homey, and so clean. Travis is such an amazing host, and the breakfast was delicious. We stayed in The Hunt room, and it was spacious and very clean. The location is perfect, quiet and close to wineries. It is about 12 minutes from downtown. We will stay here again for sure.

I stayed at Stone Gables for three nights at the end of May for a well-needed change of scenery, and my choice definitely surpassed all expectations. Highlights include the beautiful stone building that exudes coziness at every turn, the lovely gardens and patios filled with blooming flowers, the refreshing saltwater pool, the luxuriously appointed Leesburg room with huge jetted tub (indulged in a soak each evening), the delicious multi-course breakfasts each morning, proximity to several wineries and the historic mansion and gardens at Oatlands, and last but certainly not least, the warm and welcoming innkeepers, Travis and Frances (and their adorable dog). Can't wait to return in the near future!
