Doing Work Coffee Shop & Roaster

We’re spending the week in Key West and making a point of visiting as many coffee shops as possible. When we walked to Doing Work Coffee, we were initially a bit confused and weren’t sure we were in the right place. That’s understandable, since it shares space with Wicked Lick Ice Cream. Fortunately, the owner noticed our confusion and warmly invited us in. Food: It wasn’t listed on the menu, but they were happy to make me a London Fog tea latte. My son ordered a white chocolate latte. Both drinks were good. Personally, I prefer coffee served in a mug, and they only use paper cups, which took away a bit from the experience. They don’t offer much in the way of baked goods, but they did have butterscotch scones. The scone was slightly too sweet for my taste, but the texture was excellent.

Wonderful coffee! We’d been suffering from hotel coffee for days when we discovered Doing Work Coffee. They roast their own beans—currently sourced from Peru. Absolutely delicious latte. The people working there are lovely. The coffee shop is tucked in an ice cream parlor at 335C Duval. It’s easy to miss. We walked by it twice. It’s worth looking for.

Great spot. Little roastery with a comedy room attached! Super cool interior and super friendly staff. The owner was so knowledgeable and gladly answered my many questions about owning a coffee shop. My friend and I got iced cold brew, with a cookie and blueberry so tasty and fresh!!!! Coffee was perfect, subtle and flavorful. I had mine black and unsweetened friend used cream and sugar. The baked goods are made on site and were awesome! The smell coming from the building is actually what attracted my friend and Inside. Great spot and dogs welcome!!

We’re from Ohio. We loved this place on our trip. The coffee is awesome! We also got tickets for stand up comedy in the evening here. They do not have top shelf liquor but sell beer and wine. We had a great time and would definitely go back. Small venue which was so much fun for a comedy show.
