Can't wait until they open their restaurant. Have had multiple items including, brisket, scallop po boys, hush puppies, corn nuggets, shrimp and grits, gumbo, blueberry flapjack cake, white chocolate raspberry cheesecake, double chocolate fudge salted caramel pretzel brownie.

My husband & I had a wonderful experience here. The atmosphere was comfortable. The service was friendly. The food was amazing!! If we lived closer we'd definitely be regulars!

You could hear arguing and cussing in the kitchen area. I don’t know who it was, but I understand it was the owner who was doing it and that’s not very professional at all. There was one waitress not there anymore was getting smart with customers it’s that’s not that’s not professional The owner be rate his staff right in front of people right out on the floor. He does not care and it’s just that is definitely not good. You don’t do that to your people and somebody said oh do you get the fat one or the skinny one and he did not even stand up for anybody nobody he just let it go and say oh somebody said you’re fat and you’re skinny that’s not cool either he needs to be go to some kind of management training program. I guess to you know, learn how to be a better manager that’s what I would h

Tried Dixie’s for the first time last night and will definitely be going back. The corn and poblano fritters were delicious and loaded with the actual veggies and not much filler. The catfish platter with coleslaw and hush puppies was also excellent, coleslaw especially was better than what you typically get at a BBQ place. Only real complaint was that app and entree came out at the same time even though app was ordered way before the entree. Service was generally very pleasant but obviously some technical details to work out. No liquor license and according to the servers, no plans for one. I hope this choice doesn’t hold them back because the food is outstanding!

If you’re anywhere near Dixie’s Down Home Cooking, do yourself a favor and stop in you won’t regret it. I ordered the Wake Up Burger, and honestly, it completely lived up to the hype. The standout for me was the bacon jam… it’s to die for. It adds this perfect balance of sweet and savory that just takes the whole burger to another level. Every bite felt like comfort food done right. What really makes the place special, though, is the owner. They’re top-ranked for a reason not only do they run the restaurant, but they’re back there cooking too. You can taste the care and experience in the food, and it gives the whole place a genuine, down-home feel. Between the incredible flavors and the passion behind the kitchen, this spot is something special. You won’t be disappointed.
