Dirty Al's at Pelican Station

Really yummy food! Lots of fresh fish options. Lovely for a date night or out with friends. Nice view of the water. Good service. We were very happy with the shrimp Rockefeller appetizer and our red snapper Rockefeller dinner! Our friends enjoyed their meal as well.

Kevin was our server and he was great. Food: I ordered a popcorn shrimp and salad -the salad itself was good but the shrimp was VERY fishy to the point where it tasted expired. My husband got the M fish platter and the fish was ok and fries were not cooked all the way. The margaritas gave us heartburn sadly but at least they were on happy hour. They tried to make it right when we brought it up and gave us extra plate of fries and took the shrimp off. I appreciate that but I dont think i would be coming back. (On a Tuesday at least lol)

Service is friendly in that unmistakable South Texas way, and the atmosphere has just enough character to remind you why coastal dining hits different. If you enjoy seafood that tastes like it came straight off the boat and into the kitchen, this place is an easy recommendation. Delicious food, relaxed vibe, and consistently great preparation. Dirty Al’s Mussette is absolutely worth the stop.

Pelican Station is wonderful place to have lunch, or enjoy an evening meal. There were four in our group, three ordered the breaded shrimp and scallop meal, while the other choose the 7 piece shrimp meal with fries. All in all, I give the food a 10. The waitress also a 10, as she explained the different meal choices if you had questions. Perfect flavors. This restaurant is clean, and the atmosphere is quite enjoyable, a great place to celebrate a birthday, or dine out in the evening for an anniversary. We sat at a table that looked out onto the bay toward S. Padre Island. There is some outdoor seating available.

The food tasted okay, but I think the portion was small and pricey. I paid over 60 dollars for just two people, and that was with regular drinks.
