Detroit Cookie Company

Saw this spot on Instagram and decided to stop. Its a cute little spot. Service was great and establishment was clean and organized. So many choices. My cookies were decent nothing super fancy. I really wanted a cinnamon roll but they were only available on certain days. I had a sweet tooth attack and they did hit the spot.

Friendly service, clean place. I would put them on top of any of the same sort of business. Our best purchases are the gluten free chocolate chip cookies and brownies. Excellent. I really enjoyed the cookie sandwiches with ice cream back when I could tolerate that much dairy. I would give it five stars if they could do a couple more gluten free cookie flavors, and better vegan cookies. The vegan cookies are okay, but I wish they were like the big cookies.

I love you Detroit cookie company. It is so clutch every time and I love that it’s local Ferndale’s not too far from me. I love the fresh Cookies. I feel like they use different recipes with the same dough but I like the consistency. I really really love all the flavors like you see how many cookies I got in the pictures I buy cookies from them all the time I like to try the new flavors and seasonal. I grab a chocolate milk, always grab a chocolate milk, one of my guilty pleasure. Thanks Detroit cookie company for fulfilling my sweet tooth.

I think the novelty of this shop is what makes it fun. The cookies are pretty good but similar base flavor/texture for each with things thrown in. I’d love to know if they use real butter or a shortening. We got a dozen of almost every kind of the normal non-XL ones. Some of the flavors were good and some of them very strange (esp with the potato chips). The coffee one was nice as I like coffee and you can get the crunch of the beans. Overall I judge a place by its standard chocolate chip cookie and it was just alright. I would maybe come back but again it would be for the adventure of the fun recipes - not for the best cookies.

The cookies were fantastic! Especially the lemon, chocolate chip and the banana pudding cookies. The service was welcoming and friendly. I can't recommend the strawberry cake because it was a bit dry but the cream cheese frosting was amazing. I think it maybe my favorite cookie bakery.
