I truly enjoyed eating here and can’t wait to come back to try other items. We ordered a chicken burger, chicken kebab, paneer sandwich, veggie wrap, and a grilled sandwich (not pictured). Everything was delicious except for the grilled Bombay sandwich — it tasted a bit too basic.
- Chicken Noodles is Very Good - Mandi is not like Mandi flavor - Bondas are with little oil but both chutneys are good - Karimnagar Chicken is like a good starter to have. Tasted like chicken 65 and chilli chicken with curry leaves flavor
We ordered medhu vada this morning for takeout, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. The vadas had a strong smell of old oil and were not edible at all — we couldn’t even eat a single one. We’ve always enjoyed food from Desi District and come here regularly, but this time it was a total waste of money and food. I really hope the management looks into the quality of oil being used to ensure this doesn’t happen again.
The best mutton roast made by Chef Guru. You all must try with white rice or Sambar rice at home. Make sure to request to add cashews and ROAST it for that day extra dryness.
I visited the pooja store inside Desi District on Sunday, Dec 28, to buy dhoop sticks and deepam oil. I was told this was the only pure pooja oil, that it would last much longer than regular Deepam oil, and based on that assurance I paid $15.99. The same type of deepam oil outside the same store costs around $3.99. In reality, the deepam lasts only 1–2 hours, much less than normal oil. After checking the label, I realized the oil was expired. Label details: MFG: Aug 2022 Best Before: Aug 2024 Selling expired pooja items at a premium price and calling them “pure” is unacceptable. Faith and tradition should not be used to mislead customers or overcharge them. I hope the store takes this seriously and stops selling expired pooja products. *DONT LOOT THE MONEY IN THE NAME OF GOD*
