Beautiful facility. Very helpful staff. Lacey gave me a good intro to the library and a tour of how everything works. Happy to be a part of the library system!
onderful Story Time & Beautiful Library! I take my 22-month-old daughter to the free story time whenever we can, and she absolutely loves it! She always has so much fun—it’s such a great program for little ones. The library itself is beautiful, and the staff are always so kind and welcoming. We’re so lucky to have this in our community!
We came to this library to try a story-time with the kids while visiting. My overall impression is that they don’t like children or understand early childhood development. The story-time was advertised as birth-5yo with stories, music and dancing. We came in and sat on the floor and my 1yo daughter was dancing in the big open space in the middle of the room, while waiting for it to start. The librarian came in and before starting anything else said that my daughter was “being a bad example” and “teaching the other kids what not to do”. As I was getting up to move her back to sit with me the librarian asked “who does this one belong to?”. I was honestly shocked. Public shaming is a wild way to treat kids and parents. Especially when the kid is just behaving like a normal toddler. The expec
I feel so lucky to have this location as my public library branch. It’s really beautiful and has friendly staff. Clean and quiet inside. It might take a bit longer to get a requested book but it’s worth it.
The building is nice. It's a relatively smaller library so might have limited selection but you can always ask for a transfer of a book from another library. The main thing I don't like is they have an area set up for kids but expect the kids to be quiet. That just doesn't work well for toddlers. If the kids area was more separated or closed off it'd be much better so kids can be kids and not disturb the adults using other parts of the library. They do have kids classes but only during the week so it doesn't work well for working parents to take their kids to those activities. Other than that it's a pretty decent standard library and nice to have one in this area
