Depot Coffee House

Drove by here a lot while visiting Urbana. Today my wife and I decided to stop and get a coffee. The coffee selection was impressive and the atmosphere was nice. However, the service was horrible. The person taking orders was always on her phone. She did stop to take our order, which was nice. As soon as we ordered, she jumped back on the phone. There were six or seven people working. A gentleman who was making his own coffee, eating cookies and chit chatting with the staff. We were thinking he was a supervisor or manager. Looked bad when customers are waiting and you are making your own personal coffee. The others were just talking and not helping with orders. My wife's coffee was made, then a person behind me got hers. I was standing there wondering where my order was. Then

Adorable place to grab a cup of coffee. A repurposed train depot it has tons of character. The only thing I had was a cold brew and it was a little bitter. They use Crimson Cup beans and my experience is that its cold brew is a little bitter. So par for the course.

This place has the best coffee, sandwiches, muffins! The employees are so friendly and helpful! Price was for two of us!

Good coffee, great pastries, and some sandwiches if you are really feeling peckish. Out on the west-side of Urbana along one of the bike trails, it is a great place to stop if you are in the area or travelling through. There is a lot of seating inside and out. The outdoor seating is mostly in the covered space around the back (the train platform). Solid, comfortable, rustic tables inside add to the overall aesthetic. Coffee was very good. My espresso was poured to perfection and the others said that theirs were good as well. Friendly staff, very clean, and they kept the inside as true to it's origins as they could.

Coffee was good. Order slightly messed up but nothing major. I probably didn’t need drizzle anyways. Cool location. Croissant was average good. Coffee a good 4.25 rating
