DELPINO Restaurant

Even though I’ve lived in the area for years, this was my first time visiting this restaurant, which is in a strip mall and actually bigger inside than it looks. It has a fine dining atmosphere and very friendly service. We skipped appetizers and went straight to the main courses. My friend had the chicken parmesan and found it really delicious and tender. My husband enjoyed his chicken piccata, which he thought was very tasty. I tried the veal Florentine, which didn’t quite meet my expectations, so I wouldn’t order it again. We did get a simple but delicious salad at the start, which was a lovely touch. For dessert, we had a fresh cheesecake and tiramisu, both very good, and a cappuccino. The food, service and atmosphere at Delpino is amazing. They have the absolute best Capellini Primavera, pork chop, veal chop and just about anything on the menu. Give this local place a try!

We ate dinner last night and celebrated a milestone birthday for our family member. The attention and thoughtfulness of the staff was beyond measure. The food was delicious and the cappuccinos at end of the night were the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. We loved the bolognese sauce, bruschetta toast and the calamari marinara just to name a few. Despite being something simple even the bread and side salads were also so tasty! Thank you to everyone at Delpino for your wonderful service. Can't wait to return!

Once You Survive the Hostess, the Food Is Great: The food was amazing and the wait staff was great. My colleagues and I went after a long day of work. There were six of us. Unfortunately, the initial experience was not welcoming at all. Lynn at the front, who was acting as the hostess, was visibly irritated that we didn’t have a reservation and made us feel like a nuisance rather than customers. I live in Manhattan, where restaurants usually find a way to accommodate guests, so this was surprising. Her attitude continued throughout the interaction. To make matters worse, another colleague arrived after we were seated and was treated the same way. he even commented on how rude the hostess was without knowing about our experience. That said, once you get past Lynn, everything else was great:

Decent food, not bad. But not good either. Good service. Hot Appy for 2 was ok. Stuffed chicken ok. Veggies on side seemed to be frozen veggies. Spaghetti Amatriciana was decent. Pasta was not fresh pasta....and was a bit too al dente. Very chewy. Sauce was good.
