Delaney's Soul Food

There’s soul food everywhere around the city, but when I look for soul food I want that Sunday / soulful taste. No extra sweets, spices, and garnishes. I appreciate both the food & customer service! Everything is just so good!! Being someone who isn’t easily pleased and get paid to promote and review so especially when it comes to my food and where I spend my money! I don’t give this often 10/10 I came couples mins late after order all food fresh. Great portions, and just has that loving taste you’d get when going to nanas house . Authentic. I’ll be back atleast once a week! Thank you, Young lady who moved back home to Philly from Florida ❤️

I stopped in to pick up a platter at Delaney Soul Food . I ordered the three wings and two pieces of fried flounder with two sides. My choices mac & cheese and greens with smoked turkey. The food was delicious and seasoned to perfection. The service was good and I would actually recommend this place to my friends and family.

Everything is prepared to order. No dine-in. Only take away. Mrs Delaney is amazingly sweet and funny. She greets you as you arrive and as you leave. Food was AMAZING!!!! HUGE portions! I added spicy pepper to the greens when I got home, but it wasn’t needed. Wings were perfectly seasoned and crispy. I WILL go again!

This was one of the most pleasant experiences I’ve ever had, from the phone order I placed (that I had a million questions) to the pick up and speaking with the owner, I couldn’t stop smiling from ear to ear! And when we finally got the food home! oMG! It was amazing even my daughter (very lite eater) finished off a half slab of the ribs! This was my first time ordering and I will 1000% be back!

I was in the mood for some soul food, but too tired to cook dinner myself after a long day working on my feet. I was passing through Yeadon on my way home an Googled soul food restaurants and Delaney's popped up. I'm so glad I decided to give this spot a try. I called in my order and the woman who answered the phone (later I found out this was Mrs. Delaney) was so courteous and explained details about my order; namely that the shrimp was sautéed in garlic and not fried. So many restaurants have poor customer service. It was nice to have someone so pleasant on the line. As a pescatarian, I ordered the 2-piece whiting platter with shrimp and cabbage and candied yams for the included sides. I added the mac & cheese as well. I rarely eat or order mac & cheese because I make it so much for fami
