Day Day's BBQ & Waffle House

This is Shelly’s Special. It comes with two Louisiana hot links over a bed of red beans and rice with your choice of two sides. I had it with mac and cheese and steak fries. The Louisiana hot links were juicy and fully cooked. I love their Mac and cheese; they burn the top so it’s crispy, which I love when they do that. The plate costs $16.95, which is not bad at all because of the portions they serve.

The fried half chicken was just average with older chicken taste. The waffle was crunchy. The pan fried potato was burnt and crumbled. It was just another chicken restaurant that I tried but there was nothing special for me to come back to. Note: parking is in the back or along Holt Boulevard.

If you like down home cooking check out this place. The staff is super friendly, very attentive. The food is delicious and fresh. The waffle is Fluffy and crispy on the outside. The fried chicken is hot and crispy and tasty. I will definitely come back for some more!

Super delicious chicken and waffles. The chicken was perfectly seasoned. The waffles were totally fresh and fluffy and came with enough butter and syrup. The potatoes were awesome and the eggs are done right. Service was great. Prices were really reasonable for the huge plates of food we got. Really excited to come back here in the future, really enjoyed this meal.

Had a really good experience today. The food was amazing and our waitress was very nice and attentive, she was juggling all the tables and we had a speedy service. We will be coming back thank you! Customers need to learn this isn't fast food, its a sit down diner. I work in food service and I understand it takes time to get freshly made food. Thank you again. Can't wait to come back!
