David's Catfish House - Brewton

This place was good. I'm not a fried fish/seafood person and catfish isn't my thing, but my husband loves it so we checked it out. I believe he got 3 filets. He said they were very good with good batter, and flaky. He also got 3 hush puppies which were by far THE BEST HUSH PUPPIES EVER. The cole slaw really is so good y'all... We have different cole slaw preferences and we both enjoyed it. It's super chopped which I like, but my husband likes a more coarse cole slaw, but we did both enjoy it. He got the turnip greens which he thought was pretty bland, so maybe don't choose that. I was kind of surprised to be in the heart of the south and find bland greens. Wow, I am from the south (Memphis) but David's Catfish House Impressed me. Food Excellent, Wait staff Excellent, Atmosphere Perfect. I can't say on thing wrong, it was one of the most pleasurable experiences I've had in a long time. Keep up the great work!! Wade M. Sr.

Everyone we see one of these..we stop! Excellent catfish whole or fillet.. they're both do well seasoned, meaty and made hot to order. I have to give a special shout-out for their coleslaw and my husband just raves over there seafood platter. The place always has a nice homey vibe feels like you're sitting at your granddaddy's table eating his catch of the Day! I certainly recommend that you swing by whenever you see one of their signs it's a good value meal !

Deep south, Alabama home feeling atmosphere. Got the fried shrimp po-boy and a fried oyster po-boy for lunch. Lightly breaded and not over greasy. Really good. Fries and coleslaw for side dishes.
