Customer Reviews
Very crowded but in a good way. Our server was amazing. I had the hamburger steak and it was delicious. My wife had the catfish and declared it was the best fried fish she's ever had. Prices were well within reason.
This was our second visit. The 1st time the food and service were excellent. 5's across the board.I have to consider this was the night before Thanksgiving so perhaps the more experienced people were already home. My husband and I had the catfish. It was very good. My husband ordered a sweet potato. He wanted it with cinnamon and sugar. They gave it to him in small bowls?? It was the smallest sweet potato I had ever seen. I couldn't believe they didn't just say they had run out or perhaps given him 2?? Each 1/2 was the size of 2 hush puppies. It was ridiculous. He said it did taste good. We will probably go back for the catfish and straight up ask about potatoes. I had a regular baked potato and glad I did. It was cooked through and had a good taste. The coleslaw was good but the serve
The food was so good and sadly get any pictures of it to go with my review but I had a chicken finger salad and they gave plenty of dressing. It was funny because it seemed everyone that walked in the door knew each other. Was a very cozy atmosphere. Waitresses and hostesses definitely had their southern charm on. Outside the restaurant they also have tons of rocking chairs as well as a giant one to sit and relax and take cute pictures.
It's a good meal for the price. Portions are ample. Service is adequate. The taste is very good. All in all it's a good dining experience for the money. It's not going to be an elevated seafood experience but that's not what they are going for. It's a catfish house. They do serve other foods like chicken, shrimp, burgers, pork chops and even steak. But it is mainly catfish prepared in a few different ways. The sides are good and the overall theme is southern without apology. I've never been disappointed anytime I want to go enjoy a southen style catfish dinner with southern sides. I leave full and happy I went.
Cute, hole in the wall place!! Was passing through town and saw their billboard and decided to give them a try. We got the onion rings appetizer. Son got the lunch basket. It was the perfect amount for the price. The slaw was great! Hush puppies were yummy! Fish was good and seasoned. Husband just wished they'd remove the black skin before cooking. My grilled shrimp were amazing! Hope to stop again one day on our way to the beach. Our waitress was great, and I wish I had remembered her name.
