Dave's Hot Chicken

First time trying here. Staff were friendly.and courteous. Took the order quickly, a small buffalo chicken, Mac and cheese. Took somewhere between 5-10 minutes to be made. There was nothing wrong with the flavor of the food, but I didn't like the texture of the chicken itself, kind of gritty texture, not pleasant. Was good value, $7.50 including taxes.

We were looking for a bite after Thunder Over New Hampshire, and decided to try this place it. Prices seemed a little high, $12-$15 for the combo, but it does NOT come with a drink. Ended up being $22, for only tenders and fries. However, they are BIG tenders, so the price seemed more reasonable. Then I bit into it, and wow! These are delicious! I went for mild, but there was still tons a flavor. Cheese fries were good. The sauce is really tasty. Pickles were nice and crunchy. I appreciated how nice and tidy the food was arranged in the container as well. Overall, I felt it was worth the price. Only nitpick air the experience was that the floors were kinda dirty, but it was also really busy. I'd definitely go to to one of these restaurants again.

Dave's Hot Chicken in Portsmouth, NH, is an absolute gem. The chicken here is hands down the best I've ever had. Each bite offers a delightful contrast—juicy on the inside and perfectly crispy on the outside. The flavor is out of this world, and the special sauce adds an extra layer of deliciousness. The fries complement the chicken wonderfully, making for a satisfying meal. Though the prices are a bit on the higher side, the quality and taste make it worth every penny. Be prepared for a long wait time, but trust me, it's worth it. The cool atmosphere adds to the overall great experience. Highly recommend! Staff was very friendly also!

No seating, the mac n cheese is justclike KFC, the chicken was moist but sprinkled with something powdery. Very busy place expect to wait. And bring sanitizer!!!!

First time at Dave’s and it was a great all around experience. Met cashier Jay and she was so helpful to a couple out of the ordinary requests for the kids. She made sure that they got everything the needed to make sure they liked their food. She was so gracious and let my daughter try before we bought and she went out of her way during busy time to do this. Thank you so much Jay!
