Dar's Steaks

This could be the best cheesesteak hogie I've ever had! The roll was soft and fresh. The meat was cooked perfectly, with the perfect amount of Cooper. I placed an order online to pick up at 4. I arrived at 3:58 and they were putting everything in the bag. Exactly at 4 they handed me a bag of hot, fresh food, with no waiting. The food was delicious and the online ordering made it easy. The only thing I would change is putting a hole in the french fry container, but the cheesesteak was so good it didn't matter.

It’s Ed… I told my wife we needed to add a review so here goes… I am having a cheesesteak with fried onions/cooper sharp and a seeded roll My wife is having a cheesesteak with provolone/fried onions ( regular roll ) both of us with cherry peppers and sharing well done fries Tastes great… We stopped by our one time hometown during the holidays prior to heading home ( North )and tried Dar’s We haven’t had a cheesesteak in sometime and it was very good !!

Second time here, and have to say this was better than the first. Service was excellent. Cozy little place on the street. And the steaks were phenomenal. Better than quite a few of the joints in Philly. Perfect roll, beef was full of flavor, and they don’t even skimp on the whiz! This place is going firmly at the top of my “Must stop when in town” list!

Just had a plain cheesesteak hoagie. They use a good roll and a good ratio of lettuce and tomatoes. Asked for no salt, pepper or oregano, they forgot. My main beef, haha, is with the meat. I'm not sure what cut of meat they use but it didn't have a good mouth feel, no toothyness. I don't want to say mushy but the meat had no substance to it. A good cheesesteak let's you know your still eating steak, not whatever they put on that roll. When your front window says worlds best maybe you should do better.

Best cheesesteak of my life. I had the Philly Dilly with american cheese and added mushroms on a seeded roll. Probably a weird combo, I know, but trust me. SO GOOD. It's also cute in there. Supreme location too!
