Great deli to grab sandwiches (especially breakfast one) and salads to go. I went on a Sat morning and it was empty but there was a steady stream of folks coming. I got a Chef salad to go and it was delicious. Limited seating inside (more of a to go place). You can pre-order online but there is a small convenience fee.
The d’Elici breakfast wrap (add avocado) has to be one of my top 5 breakfast sandwiches. It is so so tasty. A good balance of ingredients, crispy hash browns and melty cheese and creamy avocado, always served hot enough to make it home. The lady running the place is super sweet too. I only wish this place was open on sundays!
You never really consume a Delici wrap—you steward it. Wrapped in quiet excellence, it arrives fast, tastes crafted, and somehow exceeds expectations like it’s effortless. Each order feels less like takeout and more like a small tradition you’re temporarily entrusted with. You don’t finish it so much as you savor it, then retell it—so the next generation can experience it through story.
I can’t speak highly enough about d Elici. Everything from speed and quality of service to the variety of their rotating coterie of robust soups. I consistently order an excessively custom wrap and they consistently exceed my expectations each time I consume it. One might take a look at d Elici and erroneously assume it to be one of the many standard lunch options in FiDi. Hell maybe it is. But if it is just a normal standard spot, then it’s my standard, daily kibble. And me? I’m just the world’s happiest dog.
d Elici is a breakfast place located near Manhattan's City hall, serving up a wide variety of breakfast sandwiches and other meals. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the food comes out quick. The place is kept cleanly and has minimal seating, but is made easy to take out. The food is priced pretty well for the portion, and the bagels are toasted fresh. The cream cheese wasn't too thick, and went well with the bagel. Overall a solid bagel, but nothing too outstanding from the rest.
