D D's Specialty Bakery Cafe

A true gem in St. Marys. Glad I was able to visit DD's bakery on this visit to St. Marys. In addition to 2 large cases of every kind of pastry and donut you could want, they also serve breakfast, with a big menu of great home cooking. I went in to get a couple breakfast sandwiches and a donut or two to take to my dad at the nursing home and ended up walking out with an additional dozen assorted donuts and pastries. Didn't know who was gonna eat them exactly, but they were begging to be bought. For all that, it was like $21? Ridiculously cheap. Not to mention the convenience and crafts store adjacent.

Today purchase 2 donuts a brownie and a breakfast, and the jelly filled donut had mold spores on the bottom. Health hazard set aside, Overall overpriced, none of the online menu prices are up to date, The manager or owner usually meets us with a very rude demeanor especially if the employee makes a mistake. All of these little things would be easy to look past if the food was at least worth the price and edible.

That bread was easily some of the best breakfast toast I've ever had! Staff was so nice and pricing was fair. Even got some donuts to go!

A wonderful , homemade breakfast with great and friendly service! The BEST rye bread I have ever had. Sorry to miss the special potato pancakes tomorrow.

Great little small town diner. Staff were very friendly, efficient and working very hard. Food came quickly, large servings, very tasty and well prepared. Bakery items in the display cases are tremendous, and worth tasting all of them. Prices are great for the items. We both got a breakfast burritos and were well rewarded.
