Cups and Cones

My son requested to go here because he saw it had great ratings. We can see why. It was a great little place. Very clean with inside seating. If you like Disney, you will like this. Disney pictures on the wall. Even a giant framed puzzle of many of the Disney characters. The service was great! The ice cream is outstanding. All hand dipped. So many flavors to choose from. The first time I got a scoop of key lime pie & a scoop of coconut. We had to go back a second time. I had to have that coconut. Best coconut ice cream that I have ever had. And with little pieces of coconut in it. If you are in the area of Avon in the Outer Banks, stop by and try this place. You won’t be disappointed.

I really like the lady who is taking orders here. She will take the time to explain what the flavor is if you ask. Very nice staff! There are many choices of ice cream flavors at this ice cream shop. You can order shakes made from any of the ice cream flavors as well. You order at the outside window and eat outside, take it to go, or sit inside to eat. Inside is Disney themed and colorful.

Ice cream tasted great, lots of flavors to choose from, and large servings. My waffle cone was a little stale but it was also shortly before closing time and had probably been sitting there for a bit. The employee who served us was very friendly. Would definitely come here again

Two nights in a row this place doesn’t have whipped cream. And even crazier than that, no vanilla custard. They only have two custard flavors, and one is unavailable. Unacceptable at an ice cream shop any day.

Burrito would have given it three stars, but Dumpling bumped it up a star because the ice cream was good. It is just Hershey’s hard ice cream, so nothing you couldn’t get elsewhere. The place is manned by high school kids, so you can imagine. They are friendly, but there is some lacking of common sense, e.g., we ordered multiple items to go and they handed them out individually; I had to ask for a bag. The waffle cones were really thin and Burrito and Dumpling’s cones both cracked, they offered Burrito a new cone, but not Dumpling. Burrito ordered a chocolate dipped waffle cone, but got no chocolate on her cone - she’d given up at that point and let it go. The portions were big, which was basically the only saving grace, but since it’s ice cream, there’s that.
