Crumbs Cafe & Coffee Bar

Great, great, great experience for food, service, atmosphere. My husband and I were visiting from another state and had a jam-packed itinerary for sites & towns. After spending time in other coastal towns, I had a day planned to visit Quoddy State Park/Lighthouse and some spots in Lubec & then up to Calais. I had not planned where to eat lunch so at the last minute I googled & found Crumbs Cafe & Coffee Bar in Calais. My husband had the chicken pesto panini & sweet potatoes fries and raved over how good it was (he can be tough to impress!). All white meat chicken and panini that wasn't flattened paper-thin like we're used to. I had the BLT & regular fries it was sooooo good! I also had an iced latte that was perfect. The staff was excellent at handling travel weary, a coffee seeking parents on vacation. There are many options for every family member even picky ones. Did not have the vegetarian options but they are available.

The food is reasonable for the price. Calais has few options and this is one of the better ones. However on our last trip the server forgot to order fries with one order. We were with visiting company and after a long delay she later asked them to pay out of pocket for the fries separately. This did not make a favorable impression on our guests to say the least.

A beautiful cafe, gorgeous lighting complete with original brick wall and copper ceiling (remnants of the past)! A marvel to behold! The service is excellent! Professional, kind warm and welcoming. I was gonna take away but ended up staying because the staff is great, the place is lovely and the homemade soft serve was the best soft serve I have ever had! It was orange pineapple flavor and it blew my mind! So so good! Loved being here 💜🍦

Food was mediocre. The cheese in my breakfast burrito was barely melted. Asked for sugar in my coffee and got cream. There was a small hair, possibly from an animal, on my food
