Cross Hall Galley

Tried to get dinner Sunday the 25th the day of the storm. Went in at 5pm amd there was only baked potatoes and corn. Guess they didn't plan for all the sailors trapped on base.

Over the last year the meals went from fantastic to recently not so great. Each meal item has been hit or miss. Today was a special meal. There was turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy which was good... however the sweet potatoes tasted like the 'cinnamon challenge' it was inedible as well as the pumpkin pie? (I think that was what it was supposed to be), anyways It was incredibly over seasoned. My chicken was raw and come to find out 2 pans were put on the line without having been baked. Normally I don't have issues with their chicken but this was indeed raw. Their quality control has gone down over the last several months unfortunately. Y'know, others talk smack about this galley but they haven't been to other navy galleys. For the price i'm paying, god bless those two women on the speed line always smiling as I say thank you.

The salad bar is fantastic! They have a smoothie bar and there's a good variety of options each meal. The special meal they have each month are fun and very well executed.
