Groton Public Library

Amazing place. I was at Great Wolf but needed to find a place that was quiet to allow me to participate in a virtual meeting for work. This Library offers something that they call zenpods. Basically a phone booth that you can go in and have your privacy. It saved me. Everyone there is extremely courteous, helpful and really on top of things. Five stars, we got to love our libraries! Especially when they're as great as this one.

2006-present When me and my family lived here this was the spot to have your little ones. There was always programs for everyone going on here. We always loved all of the librarians who operated this library. Great times and memories here. Long evenings and weekends with group gatherings and reading sessions for fun.

It's the most convenient public library in Eastern Connecticut. I've visited many public libraries in this region from Willimantic and south, and the Groton Public Library is in my opinion bar none the best in the Eastern CT region. Here are my key points: 1) No time restriction for parking (vast free parking lot). 2) Plenty of electrical outlets to connect your laptop and devices. 3) Very fast free highspeed Wifi internet connection (see picture). 4) They have quite booths with electrical outlets, desk and chair (similar to an old telephone booth where you may plug you laptop in to conduct a Zoom meeting). Time slot reservation at book checkout desk is required. 5) Spacious accommodation so you don't feel confined. 5) Impressive longer operating hours, more than most in the region, 9-9pm

Great library but wow is it noisy!!! Nobody including the staff talk quietly

This was my library since I was young, and I have nothing but good things to say. Groton Public Library has countless activities for children of all ages, including craft times and storytimes. They have a group known as the Junior Friends for kids who want to help the Library in ways like making crafts to give out, running bake sales, helping out with movie showings, and just other events such as that. The children's section has a wide variety of books of all types, computers to use, and a Lego play area for small kids. I cannot recommend this library enough to bring your kids, as it was one of my favorite places to be when I was younger. I no longer live in the area, but I always return each year to help with their yearly Trunk-or-Treat known as Bumper and Books. The staff are all wonder
