Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

I've been to cracker barrel often. and this is the first time I visit a renovated location. it is spacious and bright but it definitely is not "cracker barrel" in spirit. The biscuits although tasty are no longer the same from those i remember from years ago. We also waited about 45 min for our food. the waitress was sweet and caring and despite the unusual delay, she was attentive and reassuring. the food that we received was cold after the long delay. I'm thinking this is a exception but maybe with the changes also came the generic. hopefully they will find themselves again instead of going for profits by becoming something generic indifferent by doubling down on their heritage and rather than abandoning what they had improve of their legacy other history of great service are the old f

A total 5 star experience! I hadn’t eaten here in a long time, and while my biscuits came extremely late way after my meal came out, I was super pleased with the quality of the food that was served. Every dish and side were ordered were delicious with the correct temperature and flavors. Looking forward to eating here more often! Great place for family and friends! The cheeseburger was among the best I’ve ever had! I just asked them to make it medium well done. A delightful and unexpected assortment of sauces were also provided for the chicken strips. I really enjoyed the Nashville hot sauce.

Almost immediately seated shortly after our order was taken and not long after that food was served. Customer service was good. Food was good. There’s even a checkerboard in case anyone wants to play a game or 2. Though we had dinner I’ll definitely return for breakfast as I hear the pancakes are a must! Oh and prices very affordable!

Went on the spur of the moment and had a most delicious meal. I had the fried chicken with the loaded mashed potatoes and broccoli and I wish I could make fried chicken like they do. It was absolutely delicious! My son and husband had the country fried steak. Riley, our server was more than accommodating. I also love the store attached to the restaurant, one can find really unique gifts. I look forward to a return visit. 2/10/25….I had the opportunity to make my return visit and I’m so happy we did. I love Cracker Barrel and was so disappointed this visit. The quality of the food has gone down. I didn't even ask for extra biscuits to take home. The pancakes were small and no flavor. I should have gone to I Hop. CC was our server and she was excellent. Very attentive but didn't hover. The atmosphere was too bright and not as homey as usual. I think this was recently remodeled. I hope my next visit is better or I'll stop going back.
