Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

I haven’t visited for a couple of years and was surprised at how bad the food has become. I had to get fresh pancakes because the first set came out hard, dark, and cold. Obviously because they were cooked and placed aside . My hashbrown casserole was lukewarm at best and was a child’s serving.

Went for a breakfast and a dinner during our long drive. We liked the convenience since near the NJ Turnpike, good quick meals at good prices. I added steak tips to a dinner meal for about $6. Excellent service at this location. From the merchandise store employees to the waitstaff who were very attentive and pleasant. I had an issue with my order and it was replaced right away and comped too. I have their app and was able to use "pegs" for complimentary drinks, and used an email offer for % off. Yes to discounts of course!

My Man suggested that we go to Cracker Barrel before I headed back home via the turnpike...I can't remember the last time I visited a Cracker Barrel, since there aren't any in my particular area (north jersey)...our waiter was Scotty B and he was awesome! The attention to detail, genuine suggestions and all around splendid demeanor was a breath of fresh air. Next time we visit, I hope we are lucky to have him again!

I went to Cracker Barrel 2 days in a row. I had the Fried Catfish the first day, Amazing ! The next day I had the Honey Butter Fried Chicken, way too greasy, too much breading won't order the fried chicken again. The service was very nice. All the staff is friendly and my servers were pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu items. Thank you Aliyah and Scottie!
