Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

We had a brunch here and enjoyed our meals. Food served with large portions (quite too large for me, lol). Pancakes are well cooked, moist and soft, paired with a small bottle of natural syrup just for me! Eggs , bacon and sausage were cooked just right! Of course the dining atmosphere was cozy and rustic. Dayna, our waitress was very attentive and sweet! For the gift shop area, although we didn’t buy anything (we came for brunch, right? ), I also enjoyed looking around for the store decorations and the items displayed. Would come back to eat and shop around some other time.

The service was very fast and Molly R. was ahead of me every step of the way (in the Good way) anticipating what I needed and being there right when I was ready to go. I was just passing through for work, getting on the road at 4 am and driving all day from Tampa for a local military veteran get together. This was the delicious & nutritious 'home cooked' meal I very vuch needed. The special today (being Friday) was the Fish Fry and it was great. The mashed potatoes, dumplings and biscuits were amazing.

Food was absolutely delicious! Waitress was great!! I highly recommend the seasonal tea very refreshing!

Great servers and service with the typical CB antiques meticulously placed around the restaurant and food that is as good as can be expected for country cooking in a chain restaurant. It'd been years since we visited here, but we recently went on a Friday for their fish. The size of fish fillets are MUCH smaller than they used to be and a little on the dry side. The coleslaw was soggy, so I couldn't eat it. My son ordered Mac n cheese and couldn't eat it because the pasta tasted unseasoned and slightly overcooked. Fried apples were good as were the biscuits and corn muffins. The fried chicken was done up well and portions were very large, so much so that my son could only eat one piece. Would I return? Yeah. Would I order the same dish? No.

I don’t know that we have ever been disappointed by a Cracker Barrel! We have kind of made it a tradition in our family to stop at a Cracker Barrel on the first night of a family vacation, and stopped here on our way to Luray. I had their country fried chicken for the first time in years and it was delicious! My wife had the seasonal Foil wrapped grill beef dinner and it was also very good.
