It's a cracker barrel. Slightly tucked back from the highway. Right behind the waffle house. The decor is just like every other cracker barrel. Staff quickly seated us. We arrived right when everyone else did. Places filled up while they were understaffed. Food took a little longer than normal... But our server was great and kept drinks full. Besides... It was better to sit there than in traffic. Food while it took a while was correct and eaten quickly. Took a while for the bill to appear. Then we stood at the register looking for a person for a bit. (It happens.) Overall... I think we saw the first sign for this locations 25 miles before. Worth the stop if it's on the way. Aside from the slow thing... The staff was very friendly. Location was well kept.
Excellent service, novel general store and delicious southern cookin’! No doubt about it….you come here for comfort food and satisfying eats! It’s a fun, nostalgic place with a gift shop that has some of the best finds, candies and goods. Super attentive & friendly table service. The restaurant has a great “everyone help out” service mantra. You get your food faster this way as well. We enjoyed our meals and the deserts fully. Never knew we could skip the cornbread & just get a basket of “killer” biscuits. We did tonight. Always a memorable visit when stopping here. I wish there were locations closer within the DC city limits….I would come here weekly!
Ah, Cracker Barrel. A name that conjures images of rocking chairs, checkered tablecloths, and a certain… rustic simplicity. One does not typically enter such an establishment expecting a gastronomic epiphany. One expects comfort, perhaps, predictability, certainly. Yet, on a recent, unassuming visit, I found myself confronted with a series of culinary offerings that, dare I say, transcended mere expectation. Our guide through this homespun tableau was a young woman named Shay, whose attentiveness was as unpretentious as the fare itself, a refreshing counterpoint to the often-stifling obsequiousness one encounters elsewhere. The repast began with a platter of scrambled eggs, bacon, and their signature hashbrown casserole. The eggs, a vibrant yellow, were not over-tormented, retaining a pl
As a franchise, I generally enjoy eating at Cracker Barrel Restaurants, but the food at this location was not good. We ordered chicken tenders, chicken and dumplings, and a French toast breakfast. From cold coffee and cold, chewy fried okra to unappetizing tasting gravy, none of us enjoyed our meals. It was okay at best. The employees were polite and the service was pretty good. We dined on a week night and it was not busy at all so, I can’t understand why the food wasn’t better. Maybe it’s better at lunchtime? I do not recommend this location.
I recently visited Cracker Barrel for brunch on our way to Niagara Falls, and unfortunately, my experience with the service was quite disappointing. We expected to spend about 30-40 minutes for our meal, but we ended up waiting that long just for the waiter to come to our table. After placing our order, it took another 20-30 minutes for our food to arrive. We had requested four glasses of water, but one never made it to our table. It was frustrating to see other patrons being served while we waited patiently. When our food finally arrived, the waiter didn’t bring the plates along with it. After waiting another 10 minutes for the plates, we asked for them, and the waiter offered apologies, which unfortunately felt insincere after hearing it multiple times. On a positive note, the food its
