Montclair Library

I just visited this community treasure to view the monthlong art exhibit by Kwaku Ofori-Yirenkyi. Beat the snow or come by later. The parking spaces are below the library, so no problem with parking.

This library is so awesome, it’s big and bright and so many space and sections for children, adults and teens. I met some amazing people coming here.

Great library overall. During the winter months they close early due to heating issues which is astounding given that the building is only about 10 years old. Basically, call before you drive to this location to find out if they'll be closing early.

Prior to this summer, I didn’t visit the library often, yet I started to frequent the Montclair library primarily due to the Prince William summer reading program. I have come to love this place especially the children’s department with their selection, programs, and mostly kind staff. I do note though that recently I was there and overheard a staff member loudly talking about another patron, a mom with an infant. She said that this mom should not be able to get a summer reading prize because she did not trust or believe that this mom had done the summer reading. This staff member was so loud that I could not help but hear it and I can only imagine how horrible the mom in question felt who was nearby and left without her summer reading prize book.
