We stopped at Cracker Barrel and had a wonderful experience! A consistent, great experience—we'll be back on our next road trip! 5 stars
The food here was delicious! it’s my second time coming here and it was even better than the first time. The burger and chicken tenders were so juicy. The burger had sweet pickles in it and I thought it was such a nice touch. The burger was Smokey and the sweetness of the pickles made it perfectly balanced. The tenders had some skinny pieces but the coating was well seasoned. The biscuits were so thick and fluffy they didn’t even need butter on it.
I do Cracker Barrel pretty often and it’s generally speaking very consistent. Today was unfortunately not. My chicken fried chicken was half the size of normal even though were there were two pieces there are usually two pieces and they are much larger. Fish pieces were extremely small almost like nuggets or bites if you will. Everything tasted really good, it’s just the size of entrée including the sides. They were about half of what they usually are and I ordered extra so I could take it with me and pay the extra two dollars for the side upgrade. Like I said, I’m a little disappointed, but I am still pretty much a fan of Cracker Barrel and their chicken fried chicken, and their side orders rock.
Waitress was a little snarky and asked to refill my husband's drink but not mine and she came around once after our food arrived. But the food was pretty tasty and the older lady who rang us out was very pleasant and was fun to chat with!
OK, I know, I know, a steak... at Cracker Barrell??? Well it was excellent. I wanted a steak and everywhere else was packed so we ended up at CB. I'm glad we did because we were very pleased with the entire meal. The only hiccup was the okra. It was overcooked and served cold. Corn bread with pintos is my favorite and hashbrown casserole is always a winner. My wife had the pancakes and was very happy with them. They were hot and fresh with the crisp edges that she loves. Very reasonable prices compared to most places these days. Please leave me a thumbs up 👍 if this helped you. Thanks!
