Cox Family BBQ

Can’t rave about Cox enough. Not only is their food delicious, they truly go above and beyond. We ordered our Thanksgiving turkey from there. We woke up Thanksgiving morning and were all feeling sick. Not wanting to waste the turkey, we called and asked if there was any chance we could pay them to deliver the turkey after the shop closes. Not only did they happily offer to deliver the turkey, they didn’t just drop it at the door, they insisted on bringing it in and set it up on our kitchen counter. We offered to pay them whatever they wanted for the holiday delivery and they absolutely refused. They said it was part of their job to make sure we enjoyed thanksgiving. Ordered 2 plates for Thanksgiving. Everything was awesome. My husband loved it as well. I'm not a cornbread stuffing girl, but this was a mixture of regular bread and cornbread. It was done perfectly. The Mac and cheese it exactly how I prefer it. We will be back to try regular menu items.

Just happened to pass by and Decided to turn around and oh my my! I got a BBQ plate and the meat was cooked to perfection. Perfect flavor and juicy! I got the mustard based. I am used to a different kind of hash so this was different and had a small kick but was Perfect. Definitely returning!

Food: 5 Cleanliness: 5 Customer Service: 5 I visited this vendor on Saturday, August 13, 2022 while he as setup at the downtown Lexington, SC market. We ordered his BBQ tacos (3 tacos for $8.00), and everything tasted amazing. My spouse had his tacos with the coleslaw on top of his polled chicken, while I chose to have my tacos minus the coleslaw. I'd highly recommend this small family owned business to my coworkers, friends, and family members.

This was our first time trying Cox Family BBQ. We chose to get a pork family dinner. The pork was excellent and the vinegar pepper sauce was out of this world! Sides were hash and rice and mac and cheese. These were also very good. Since there are only two of us, this dinner is going to be another meal for us. Even though there is no dine in choice, you can eat outside there on one of a few tables or bring it home as we did. We will buy bbq from them again!
