Stopped in here for the first time today & it was great! I had the day's special, an open faced roast beef sandwich, with mashed potatoes & fried okra. The roast beef was delicious, but the okra was phenomenal. Probably the best fried okra I've ever eaten! My friend had the patty melt & fried banana pepper rings & said they were really good. We also shared the cheese curds & a chocolate lava cake - both really good. When we move to the area, I will be a frequent visitor because this place is great!!
If you love small town diners, this is exactly where you want to go. The staff are all very nice and very tentative to their customers. Unfortunately we do not remember what the name of our waitress was but she was nothing but sweet. We didn't need to ask for anything, she was on top of it and she was running around tending to multiple tables at this busy hour. Thank you for amazing food and a great time for our lunch stop❤️
Been here 2 times and have had always had a great experience at this place. Service was fast and the waitresses were very attentive. The atmosphere is a typical diner experience which that's what I want if I go to a diner anyway. We ordered the Mozzarella Sticks, Half order of fried pickles, a classic hamburger, the loaded dog, the Hot Philly, and the chicken tender platter. Things I noticed about these items are as follows. The fried pickles were breaded perfectly, not overly greasy, and the pickles used seemed to be a very good quality. The Hot Philly was fantastic, and I would recommend putting mayonnaise on it instead of A1 sauce which is what the waitress recommended. The Classic burger was also very good, I opted to put the habanero cheese on it as well with bacon. The Loaded Dog a
Very good find!! Roane county has some great family restaurants and this is one of them. I am not a pepper person so I would never have ordered the deep fried banana peppers but the girl at the tanning place said they were to die for. She was 100% right. We each ordered a different burger and swapped a half so we could try different ones. They were both terrific but the smokehouse burger was the best. You do have to ask for mustard and mayo. We were there right at lunchtime and they were very busy. We will be back.
Me and my brother Loved our first visit here. Staff was very welcoming, excellent service and food was amazing. I highly recommend the French toast for breakfast! Eggs were perfect as well.
