Customer Reviews
County Boys is one of those off-the-beaten-path places you usually only find through a local recommendation. It’s the kind of great secret people keep so it doesn’t get overcrowded or lose its personal touch. The food was fantastic, especially the seafood, and the service was just as good. Do yourself a favor and find this place when you get a chance.
My dad and I had ate here a few times back around 2005 I believe and we have talked about how good it was off and on over the years, this past weekend my wife and youngest son along with my nephew and his wife decided to give it a try again since we were in the area and nothing much had changed, I had frog legs and double portion of grits and I think everyone else had fried shrimp, everything was cooked perfectly. They do serve you on paper plates and plastic ware but that doesn’t bother me at all in fact it’s more of a guarantee that the plate is clean! Obviously there’s fancier restaurants out there somewhere but the food ain’t gonna taste any better than it does here at this restaurant . The staff also was super friendly and even gave my little boy a treat, we will definitely be back as
Homemade Onion Rings and Fried Green Tomatoes! The best I've ever had that I didn't make at home! I prefer grilled seafood but the flounder comes out mushy so I usually order fried. The salad is extra small. Great service
I got the $10 catfish nugget basket, with hush puppies, and cheese grits. I added the $3 home made onion rings. This meal was awesome. You can get larger meals if you want leftovers. The atmosphere is quiet so conversation can be easily enjoyed.
Always come here when we fish at Talquin. They cook our fresh fish for us perfectly. We brought in our speckled perch and they did not disappoint. The cheese grits and slaw are unbelievable! Old Florida at its best!
