Cora's 1850 Bistro

Their French onion soup is probably one of the best I’ve ever had!! Their peanut butter pie is also rich. The chocolate bottom and whip cream is so good. The pie - you definitely could share with someone, take as leftovers, or both! Their drinks didn’t taste the best, but good size and strong - so you’re getting your money’s worth. Our waitress, Robin — was nice and attentive.

We were in the area and were looking for some food to eat. This place was recommended to us, so we decided to give it a try. The place is small, but the food was very good. We were sat down after a few minutes and they brought the menu’s right away. There is a wide variety of food options and it’s within a reasonable price. Everything tasted good and we were satisfied with our experience.

Food was great. I got the chicken and waffles with the bourbon maple syrup and a baked potato, which came with vegetables which were three broccoli florets and sweet potato mash. The vegetables weren't great but the rest of the meal was top tier. Very crispy chicken, great fluffy waffles and tasty syrup. Went with friends who also all enjoyed their food - the cheese steak was "Philly worthy" from a west Philly native. The service was a little slow and we didn't get a refill once, but they were busy for a Saturday night. Very tavernesque atmosphere but is very close together for seating.

What a fantastic dinner at CORAS in Hawley! 🤤 We had to sample everything, from fresh oysters and that incredible French onion soup to some must-have buffalo pierogies. Of course, we couldn’t skip the side salad and the famous Chicken Cora! The perfect meal paired with the perfect drinks. Cora's food is amazing! I travel over an hour to get her Prime Rib! I travel and haven't found one better than hers! in the Northeast!! If I can give 10 stars I would!!! I am gluten free (Celiac) and never had a reaction from the Prime Rib and veggies. My husband has tried many dishes on their Sunday specials and never disappointed! Servers personable and very efficient when super busy Wonderful little hidden gem in Hawley!!!
