Academy Street Bed & Breakfast

We arrived on Saturday morning to attend a wedding local to the Academy St B & B. We were warmly greeted by Michelle the proprietor of this beautiful and impressive Victorian home which it’s decor is both traditional and timeless with touches of modern comfort. The following morning Michelle presented us with a most delicious and homemade assortment of freshly baked goods and a fabulous French toast with fresh blueberries and warm syrup. I can not wait to plan my next visit with this wonderful establishment.

What a delightful B & B! Historic, clean and beautiful! I had a really nice chat with Michele about the history of the house which I found fascinating. Breakfast was always very good too. We really liked relaxing on the front porch. Everything in Hawley was just minutes away including good restaurants. A very pretty little town. We would definitely stay here again - highly recommend!

This B & B, hidden on a small side street, has the perfect combination of historic antiques but comfortable and welcoming, not too many tchotckes to worry about breaking! Very reasonably priced. It is immaculate with updated lighting, fresh paint inside, and new heat/cool options in the room. 4 bedrooms out of 12 in the house available. Lovely front porch and living room with with seating areas. Our upstairs room, the Jane Eyre room, was just right for the 2 of us for an overnight. Very comfortable bed, tv, small upgraded bathroom with shower, w 2 chairs and hanging rack for clothes. Downstairs rooms available too. Evening yummy dessert treat provided, as well as a sumptious breakfast w muffins, fruit, juice and 2 main options. Proprietress Michelle was very warm, kind, and helpful. Nearby

Michele and Manual have lovingly restored an old Victorian home. Michele's breakfast on weekends is fabulous and even her lesser breakfasts during the time she's teaching, are good. They have paid great attention to make certain that their guests are very comfortable. Their attention to lighting , especially in the bathroom where ladies put on their makeup, was unlike anything that I've ever seen before.

My husband and I celebrated my birthday at Academy Street Bed and Breakfast for the weekend. Within 10 minutes of our arrival, the innkeeper/ hostess/ chef, Michelle brought a Bottle of wine to our room to start off our celebration! When we returned from dinner, I was brought a delicious Homemade Coconut Cream pie, my favorite dessert! Breakfast each morning was exquisite and delicious- 3 courses! The Inn itself was Victorian with beautiful woodwork and antique pieces throughout! The bed was Soooo comfy! I would recommend this Bed and Breakfast to anyone who wants to be pampered and have a quiet getaway. Cindy and Bill G
