The Overlook

The food was good as well as the service. We liked the area and the surroundings. You just need to have a reservation before you or call and make sure they are open for any walks in.

Fantastic food. Delicious salmon burger. The waiter actually messed up my order but was really nice about it and took total fault. He offered to let me keep the mistake order and got me the correct order in just a couple minutes.

My wife and I came from the Woodloch Pines Resort and had a little bit of trouble finding the Overlook Dining Room. Our experience was very positive. The service was excellent, the view was excellent, the atmosphere was excellent. The only problem was the food was a little expensive and the quality did not match. In no way was the food bad, it was just solid. We got the Fish & Chips and the Hole-in-one burger. I wonder if the high prices are due to the lack of competition in the area, especially for lunch. I think this would be a very nice place to go for drinks and/or dessert.

Revising this review. The service is THE WORST. They refuse to take a reservation. The girls said she was "new" and was told she couldn't take a reservation and would put me on a wait list. She didn't even ASK WHAT TIME. Staff rarely checks on the tables. The food is unpredictable /not consistent. The best you could get there is a soup and salad all other option fall short. The wait staff is terrible. I asked for stevia and the waitress was nasty with her reply back. She got every single order at the table wrong with no apologies.

Great place for dinner and drinks, love that they split and have families with younger kids downstairs, and adults and families with older kids upstairs. Service was great and the food and options are really good as well!
