Cookie Jar Cafe

Great food, we came over after hiking Savage Gulf. I asked the ladies at the counter why it was different from when I was here before and they said it burned in summer 2023 and was rebuilt. It still has the great food I remember from last time I was here in spring 2023 but the rebuild made it stand out and he atmosphere is so much better! Our food was great. Highly recommend and worth the drive.

Ordered 2 catfish dinners 1 chicken dinner and 1 meatloaf. Catfish dinners were great chicken was very done meatloaf was dry. Service was outstanding Mia did a wonderful job. 'O' ice tea was very good. Will go back.

We had a party of 10 at the Cookie Jar Cafe on a weeknight. Members of our party have ate there in the past and said the food was really good. We decided to all go there for dinner after letting the kids play at the splash pad that afternoon. Either the food prep changed or there was a different cook because the food wasn’t very flavorful and wasn’t prepared very well. I had the grilled meatloaf with a loaded baked potato. Something about the meatloaf did not agree with me. It was dry and tasted like burger and tomato paste. I actually put my mashed potatoes on top to give it some flavor. I wasn’t a fan. The loaded baked potato was pretty skimpy. They put a piece of bacon in the center and a piece of sliced American cheese. I didn’t get sour cream with it either. I do have to s

Some food was good but some needed more flavor. Great service and beautiful scenery.

A little off the beaten path but not far and we'll worth it. Service was great, everyone very friendly. Food is country home cooking. And exceptional, full of flavor not greasy Portion was more than enough, I took home enough for lunch. Highly recommend
