Cook Out

The struggle in the south strikes again! They've got two drive-lanes and ordering areas. No clue why as they were only taking orders from one at a time, yet had two people at the window when I got there. Make it make sense.. Simple order.. I picked the best of the three to showcase here.. I'm not even sure what it is.. Our order was for a Chili Cheese Dog as well as several other items and this is the one that resembles that the most. An absolute mess of course. And that's NOT chili.. More like old ground hamburger meat from a previous day if I had to guess based on the smell and consistency. I've eaten at several of these in various parts of the Southeast. This one takes the cake for lack of care and presentation. Now I know and I won't go again.

A FIVE-STAR shout-out to the crew at Cookout in Manning, SC, off I-95! During the on-and-off rainfall of July 5, 2025, our expectations were lowered when we walked in and saw several rain buckets catching water falling from the ceiling in the main dining area. Regardless, we were on a 300-mile-plus drive, needed nutrition, and ordered a quick meal. Keeping it simple, we ordered and split a plain burger, onion rings, plus an order of fries. Wow! The burger was a real surprise, thicker, juicier, and tastier than the typical fast food regimen. The onion rings were top shelf, and the fries as good as the best. Also important to note, the staff was upbeat and helpful and we couldn't believe the extensive menu. So, we plan to try Cookout again when we're off the fast track of I-95 and have more

Some Cook Out restaurants are great, but this location is NOT. (Coming off I-95? Do yourself a favor and drive on. Plenty of other fast food choices in Manning that won't ruin your day.) My visit to Cookout on 4/5 might take the title for All-Time Worst Fast Food Customer Service Experience In My Entire Life. The cashier working the inside front counter is doing a major disservice to this establishment. This specific employee has been NAMED here in MULTIPLE COMPLAINT reviews dated at least 8 MONTHS AGO. This is clearly not just a one-off situation or an employee "having a bad day." This public-facing attitude and behavior is off-the-charts gross, but it seems Cook Out has ZERO interest in taking steps to correct a problem. That, in itself, speaks volumes. Very big menu lots of affordable and price friendly options. Good portion sizes, fresh food and seasoned well. Offers good variety for health choices and the milkshakes are great too

Didn't have Cajun chicken or corn dogs but TANYA was excellent with her service and humor! Definitely needs a raise. Love cook out!!! Will be coming back to visit my new Auntie anytime im down here.
